Marty Siegal
Marty has been coaching the sport of volleyball for over thirty years at all levels. He started coaching the Boys and Girls Varsity Volleyball teams at Culver City High School in the early 1970's. Being in a very tough league (Mira Costa / Redondo) his teams constantly entered the CIF playoffs. Most of his personal volleyball experience has been playing on the beach, where he was a AA volleyball player. He was also the Secretary of the Beach Volleyball Association for many years. While attending Pepperdine University, he helped coach the Men's Volleyball Team under first year Head Coach, Marv Dunphy. In the late 70's and early 80's Marty coached for Westside Volleyball Club which is now known as Sports Shack Volleyball Club.

Over the years it has been Marty's dream to build a volleyball program in Culver City so that young players could learn the fundamental skills needed in order to compete at a higher level. Marty retired after his 35th year of teaching for the Culver City Unified School District.

Over the years it has been Marty's dream to build a volleyball program in Culver City so that young players could learn the fundamental skills needed in order to compete at a higher level. Marty retired after his 35th year of teaching for the Culver City Unified School District. He coached 8th grade PE as well as the Middle School Girl's Volleyball Team, which won the FIYVA League Championships for two years in a row. Culver Volleyball Club started with 4 teams in 2002. We have grown to 12 or 13 teams with ages ranging from from 10 to 18. As Club Director my goal is for some of our teams to enter the Junior National Volleyball Tournament in July. We have great young coaches on our staff who are dedicated to the same goal, building a solid volleyball program.
